AGENDA

Join us to understand more about the scale and motivators of abuse in the retail sector, how to deal with it in the moment and, importantly, how to recover following an incident.

Ideal for frontline colleagues, this training is split into three easy-to-follow 25-minute sessions. We'll cover the top five issues faced, explain how to reduce the risk of a challenging situation escalating, and guide you through the 'D.A.R.E' model for recovery. Plus, you'll learn how to direct a colleague to support and find additional help for yourself.

Not just part of the job

Let’s explore the latest findings on abuse in the retail sector, including how common it is, where it tends to happen, and why some people act this way.

Wednesday 25 June, 10am

How to manage challenging situations

Dealing with abuse can be tough. The first step to calming things down is recognising when a situation is getting worse. Join us for some practical tips on how to handle these moments effectively.

Thursday 26 June, 10am

Recovery

Recovering after a challenging situation is just as crucial for your wellbeing as handling it in the moment. In this final section, we'll offer more tips on what to do when faced with these challenges and how to bounce back afterwards.
